    Apples and Berries’ jump starter Chinese program is simple and practical- perfect for guiding your child into the world of the colourful and intricate Chinese language. Through this program, your child will not only be introduced to the Chinese language, but also the background of the timeless Chinese culture. Exciting Reading Readiness Modules

    The Reading program comes in modules for all reading levels from beginners to advanced levels. Pre-reading skills include auditory and visual perception and discrimination, speaking and reasoning skills, and fine and gross motor coordination. Reading readiness activities develop mastery of letter forms and sounds, as well as decoding of words, phrases, and sentences. Our reading classes also develop the children's comprehension and communication skills, as well as their love for reading. This is done through various methods, such as storytelling, and allowing them to explore literature under the ever- watchful eyes of our teachers. Your child’s reading skills will evolve from simply browsing through the pictures of a storybook to immersing in the words that take them to worlds far and beyond.

Hands-on Math and Manipulative Concepts

    Concrete and manipulative materials presented are extensively used for greater acquisition and mastery of number concepts and basic Mathematical skills. Basic arithmetic operations and problem-solving skills are also enhanced through various hands-on and written activities. Our Mathematical approach uses the heuristic method to solve different problems that involve several areas of Mathematic skill.

 

Exploratory Science Endeavors

    Science concepts are presented through play and exploration of the real world. Children understand simple concepts and ideas by investigating their environment and coming up with their own observations, predictions, and even generalizations.

Integrated Scientific concepts and experiments are introduced through hands- on activities that aid your child to question and analyze arriving to a new discovery.

 

Fun-filled Computer Classes

    Lessons are intermittently presented using LCD projectors, Ipad using  wi-fi connections thus integrating technology to learning. We use  age appropriate computer programs designed for different age levels to supplement classroom themes and concepts. Hands-on computer lessons equip children with basic skills, knowledge and instill in them proper care and use of digital gadgets.

 

Thematic Social Studies Activities

    Concepts in Social Studies serve as monthly themes that set the tone in the various classrooms and activities. Monthly themes beginning with the self , children later become familiar with their family , community and the world as a whole. Since the approach is also thematic, there is a unifying theme that connects all the subjects to each other.
